YDA Helps Start a Conversation around Youth Suicide Prevention

YDA is so proud to participate in a series of events this Fall surrounding the topic of Youth Suicide Prevention.

Filmmaker Madison Legg, along with her film UNDER THE WIRE, have been included in a series of panel presentations offered by Colorado Springs School District 11, “Awareness Matters: Understanding Mental Health and Suicide.”  Madison and YDA will be presenting at four events from September 21st – October 11th at four District 11 High Schools including the Wasson Acadmic Campus, Doherty High School, Palmer High School, and Mitchell High School.

Additionally, Dee Contreras, along with her film BREAKING SILENCE, will be participating in the Pueblo Youth Empowerment Council’s Youth Resource Fair on September 29 at the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center.  Dee looks forward to meeting and sharing her story with over 250 area youth.
