YDA Film Accepted Into Mill Valley Film Festival

2019 Alumni Filmmaker Kallista Palapas has just had her film, I’LL BE THERE, accepted to screen at the 2020 Mill Valley Film Festival! 

I’LL BE THERE is an unvarnished account of Kallista’s experience of when a close friend and classmate took his life, creating a ripple of grief and confusion. Capturing intimate interviews and scenes with family, close friends, and even turning the camera on herself, Kallista wrestles intimately with issues and topics often swept under the carpet.

“Founded in 1978, the eleven-day film festival is known internationally as a high-profile, prestigious event celebrating the best of international cinema. Although recent events have transformed what MVFF has traditionally looked like, our commitment to helping celebrate shorts and features, American and foreign, has not diminished and we are still excited about the festival this fall.”

The Mill Valley Film Festival will take place on October 8-18th, 2020.
