In his YDA film production DROPOUTS, DRUGGIES AND DRUNKS, Caleb Nyseth turns the camera on a community In Colorado Springs about which few people really know but, for Caleb, has been formative.  Since he was little, Caleb immersed himself in skateboarding, a sport, historically maligned, stereotyped and often banned in public spaces.  In his film, he explores those stereotypes as we get to know several skaters intimately – all of them diverse in age and race, all of them dedicated  to a craft filled with unusual athleticism and artistry. The bonds that form among skaters offer a surprising and and rich portrait of a long-standing community who often still exist hidden in plain site.
