A graduating senior in Colorado Springs, Hannah Duran has always and inexplicably loved horses. Adopted by a loving and diverse family (Hannahs’ siblings are African American, Latino and her parents are German and Eskimo) she always wondered, and often mourned, the loss of her birth mother, Amber. As she got older, more questions emerged– along with feelings of anger and grief. At 16, she finally reunited with Amber and what followed became the heart of HANNAH’S HOME, a searing account of a daughter coming to terms with two mothers and two families, and the surprising role of horses to heal the past.
