Karina Macias Leyva

Karina Macias is a student at Atlas Preparatory High School in Colorado Springs, graduating in 2020. She watched her friend’s documentary, which inspired her to join this year’s YDA program. She is working on an impact campaign on domestic violence, TURNING PAIN INTO POWER, which she has previous experience with in her family. She hopes to spread more awareness and conversation on the topic of healthy relationships.
