2018 YDA Premiere Announced

A Five Year Anniversary Event

Join the Youth Documentary Academy’s newest class of filmmakers at the premiere screening of their work on Sunday, November 4th, 2018 at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College.

For five years, YDA graduates have made and distributed over 50 films in Colorado Springs, learning all aspects of documentary filmmaking and engaging the public with riveting stories.

Come meet our latest class of Impact Producers who use YDA films to develop educational campaigns related to teen suicide, racism, LGBTQ lives, and domestic violence.

You will see some of the best YDA has produced, past and present, and learn how the work is impacting our communities. Come help us celebrate youth-created media in the Pikes Peak region.

This event is FREE to attend, but we are always grateful for and suggest a donation of $10 for adults and $5 for students to help cover costs of the evening. This event usually fills up so we encourage you to arrive promptly.

Light snacks and refreshments provided at intermission and a reception to follow where you can meet the filmmakers and take a closer look at their work from the summer. We will celebrate our filmmakers and 5-years with cake for all.
